They always say you must work hard and consistently to achieve your goal. This is true, but we often witness that most people have a strong start, work hard for a while, and then slow down, stop, and give up. Why is that? Why do they start strong but then slow down and stop? The reason lies in this important factor: Excitement!

They start strong and work hard initially because they are excited about their goal. However, after a while, they lose that excitement, and as a result, they see no reason to keep working hard.

Excitement is what pushes you to work hard every day, and even harder than the previous day. Those who slow down and stop often reflect later, remembering how hard they had been working, and realize that if they had kept up that momentum, by now, they would be embracing the success they once dreamed of. But that chance is gone, and they are no longer where they were when they started, possibly many years ago. They stopped, and all their progress went down the drain. Now, if they want to achieve their goal, they have to start over again.

Whatever your goal is, you must be extremely excited about it. If your goal doesn’t excite you, you are likely to give up on it, even if you start working toward it. Therefore, having a goal that excites you is crucial.
