The Japanese term of ‘Oubaitori’ encompasses the Kanji characters representing the four iconic trees that blossom during the spring season: Cherry, Plum, Peach, and Apricot trees. These trees bloom together, each in its distinct manner. Indeed, “Oubaitori” means ‘The art of never comparing yourself to others’. It says, focus on your own progress rather than measuring yourself against others.

Why?

Focusing on our own progress rather than constantly measuring ourselves against others can be beneficial for several reasons:
