Social Media Know No Boundaries: Prioritizing Certain Accounts to Manipulate People’s Thoughts

On this site, we have already talked about what I call “Virtual Slavery”. Social media make billions through YOU and your presence on their sites and apps, while they pay you nothing. They sell the traffic that your presence generates for them, but they don’t give you a share. When a community (either online or offline) is built using your presence and time, it means you are one of its building blocks, and so you have the right to have a share from the money that the community makes. This is not a rule. It is not written in any law book. It is just something that I say. But, do you agree that it is common-sense? Don’t you think that it really makes sense?

Greedy multi-billion dollar social media companies not only pay no attention to these ethical things, but also they cheat people through some other ways which is the subject of this article. We all know that social media try to manipulate people’s thoughts in the favor of some special people or party. But, it has never been proven like now that we know Twitter conspiracists have theorized that the social media platform and its algorithm have been prioritizing certain accounts, making their Tweets more visible and more likely to show up on user feeds even if they do not follow them😳

Yes, these things are happening in the world while everyone is talking about human rights. No doubt that it is only us who can defend our rights. Although these kinds of information and scandals leak outside of the multi-billion dollar companies, nobody will ever take any serious action against them. You hear this about Twitter. But I have seen this on Facebook and Instagram too.

Let’s get united and develop a community that not only pays your share from the money it makes (both active and passive), but also there is no corruption and manipulation in it.
