When Algorithms Make Your Life Harder, Why Don’t You Make Them Work for You?

In my previous article, I talked about focusing on the things we can control. While technology is making our lives easier, it can create problems for those who are not getting prepared. I have already talked about some of the big changes that are on the way:

My question is, are you getting prepared or do you want to wait until you become affected or even the victim of the changes?

Technology is progressing so fast. This is something we cannot control or prevent, according to my last article. But, if we know what is going on and to what direction the world is moving, not only we won’t be affected, but also we can force new technologies to serve us and make our lives better.

I have another news for those who don’t take these warnings serious:

“An algorithm can diagnose a cold from changes in someone’s voice” is the title of a short article I saw on The Economist (here). Here’s the summary:

Very soon your boss might be able to tell whether or not your cold symptoms are real, just from the sound of your voice. Researchers tried to decode exactly how a “cold voice” differs from a healthy voice using an algorithm. ⁠When you have a cold, your vocal cords swell and vibrate at a lower frequency—and now an algorithm can distinguish a real cold from attempts to fake it.⁠ Other scientists are looking at how a range of other conditions affect the patterns of frequencies in a person’s voice.

Is there still anyone who wants to work for others and not to become self-employed and financially free?

It is exactly like connecting you to a lie detector machine remotely, not only when you call them, but while you are at work. It is scary, isn’t it?

If you work for yourself and become financially free, will you ever have to call your boss, change your voice to pretend that you are sick, and then they tell you that you are lying and their algorithm says that you are attempting to fake a cold?

No, you won’t because you won’t have a boss. While technology is trying to control people more and develop what I call “modern slavery”, you can work for yourself and be your own boss, not to be controlled by anyone. You can use the same technology that wants to control and salve you, to build great income resources, to become financially free and even rich. You cannot prevent the technology from controlling you when you work for those who have the technology. But, you can use the same technology to work for you, if you want. It means, something that you cannot control when you work for others, can be under your control when you work for yourself.

How?

There are easy and hard ways. You can create and offer your own products/services, and if you do it right, you will make a fortune. But, this is the hard way that not even one in a million is lucky enough to achieve. There are some other ways too that are not that easy as well. The good news is, something that you cannot achieve alone, can be achieved with the help of a team, algorithm and community. Yes, the same algorithm that will be your enemy when you work for others, will be your friend and servant when you choose to depend on yourself or when working with a team and community that has the same goal as you and is loyal to you to help you make your dreams come true. While you couldn’t control the algorithm when you work for others, here it becomes your friend and servant that works for you. Isn’t this amazing?
