The 1% Rule: Do It 1% Better Every Day!

Everyone wants to become successful, but they don’t realize that success is not a destination where everything is over once reached. Success is a continuous and nonstop journey. The image above represents the roadmap of this journey. You must strive to improve every day, surpassing your previous self. Otherwise, you will forever remain where you currently are.

As you can see, one remains one even if you multiply it by itself 365 times. This means that if you stay the same every day for a year, or 365 days, you will end up where you were one year ago:

1³⁶⁵ = 1

However, if you make a small improvement and work just 1% better each day, you will be 37.78 times better after a year:

1.01³⁶⁵ = 37.78

Those who constantly complain about not making progress are often unaware that they spend their days merely dreaming of success. They wait for miracles or exceptional opportunities that may never come. It is you who creates opportunities; they don’t come to you. All you need to do is work a little harder and better each day. Your progress may seem slow in the beginning, and that’s when you are at risk of giving up. However, if you remain consistent and work just 1% harder and better than the previous day, you will eventually find yourself where everyone dreams of being.

This concept also reflects the essence of Karma. Many people believe Karma is solely about the actions they take towards others. However, it is equally about the actions you take for yourself. Karma suggests that if everyone becomes a little better each day, the world will become a better place for everyone to live:
