What has been your greatest kitchen mistake?

having the fire up too high while cooking 

Excessively spiced food, more with peppers.

My biggest kitchen mistake would be going to the kitchen. I only go into the kitchen because that’s where the fridge is.

One time, years ago I put some eggs on to boil. I started doing something else and completely forgot about the eggs. Oh my gosh, it was awful. The water boiled away and the eggs, yuck, the house smelled terrible. I have never done that again.
