See you soon or see you later feels like you plan to meet with the person at a plan date. Goodbye is most preferable.

Not really you can say either goodbye or see you later it doesn’t matter it means the same thing.

1. Yes, there is a big difference: saying goodye seems like its too final or harsh  while see you later or soon requires a commitment that persons involved are obliged to see each other again later on or sooner.

I like to say see you later. But, sometimes I say bye as well. I think it depends on whom you’re speaking with, or the type of conversation you were having.

I say Bye or See you interchangeably!

Good bye and see you soon or later means the same. We normally use these phrases expecting to see one another again and that is our wish.

Truly depends on the conversation as to which applies.
