How to Become the Happiest Person

Is it hard to be the happiest person? What do we need to be the happiest? Lots of money? Fame? Millions of followers?

I know many people who don’t have any of these but are really happy. Although, I believe money is necessary to provide a happy life for your family and yourself. There are also many others who have lots of money, fame, and millions of fans and followers, but they suffer from depression. There are many exceptionally famous and wealthy actors and actresses who suffer from severe and chronic depression. Where is the problem?

The root of unhappiness usually lies in our thoughts. I have numerous articles on this topic (e.g. here, here and here) that I recommend you read. However, the video below from Norman Vincent Peale reveals the secret to being the happiest:

Keep it right in your head.
Keep your thoughts good, not bad.
Keep your thoughts decent, not indecent.
Keep your thoughts full of faith, and not doubt.
Because it is in your thoughts that is determined whether you’ll be happy or unhappy, whether you’ll be healthy or unhealthy.
The happiest person is he who thinks the happiest most interesting finest thoughts.
And that is a fact.

Have you ever looked at your thoughts? Are the majority of them good, healthy, decent, interesting, and fine, or are they bad, indecent, unhealthy, and doubtful?

Unfortunately, two-thirds or even three-quarters of our thoughts are negative (here), unless we work on them and convert them into positive thoughts. The good news is there are ways and techniques to do it. Many people miss opportunities only because of their thoughts. If they don’t fix this problem, they will fall behind. Life is short. Sometimes there is no chance to go back and start over.
