Being alive.

A lot of times in life, we humans take the most simple, yet rather important things for granted. We either are so used to having something that we think we’re entitled or suppose to have it regardless, we simply don’t care because the thought of being without it isn’t possible in our minds, or the thought of missing something has yet to cross our minds until that something is no longer available, useful, or accessible.
Poem: Title: ‘Valued Lightly to None Are The Overfamiliar Things Less Thought Of’
I may not have perfect vision, not even all that good, not bad either, but I’m grateful I can see.
I may have pain and aches here, there, and sometimes sore all over, but I’m thankful I can walk. There exists a pain in my arm to where I can’t lift it a certain way. It’ll give out on me, yet still, I’m grateful that I have mobility.
I’m thankful I can taste and smell, I’m grateful that I can feel when I touch.
I’m thankful I can still run and jump, even though I don’t do those all that much.
I’m grateful I can hear, I’m thankful for the ability to think, I’m grateful that I can still remember things, I’m thankful I can distinguish by eyesight the colors red from blue and purple from pink.
I’m grateful I can still bathe my own self, because I may lose the ability one day,
I’m thankful I can swallow while enjoying good food. I appreciate still having the ability to find my own way.
My inspiration comes from being grateful for the strength, especially of the less fortunate little ones who are determined to conquer and rule whatever it is of they’re without.
If they can beat the inability to walk, pass up the one who CAN see, outdo deaf and mute themselves, and demonstrate that life still goes on, then surely the rest of us is slacking somewhere without a doubt!
I’m grateful that love exists, I’m thankful for the thought of, thought of.
I appreciate inhaling and exhaling every breathe. When I wake up and realize that I am still alive is something that I absolutely and truly love! — by: LaTasha Rogers < wagby > ‘The Qreativenue’ © —
It shouldn’t take us having to lose a leg or observe a child without any accomplish great things in order for us to appreciate being able to walk. However, sometimes, it does take just that, which is okay too, if that person grows from the experience. Some hard heads have to be stopped dead in their tracks! I had a hard head at times. We all have, but for me, it was never never to the point I had to lose something that I could never get back or couldn’t be replaced in order for me to take heed in a lesson.
