I ran e-commerce businesses for years, at times incredibly successfully and have used shopify.
Sites such as shopify can be difficult and slow to start showing a return, especially if you’re new to selling online. Platforms like eBay are actually a really good way to launch because the customers are already there. If you learn to use the site well you can start building turnover very quickly. If/when you do have your own site (or shopify, although your own site is better), adding leaflets to your packages with sign up offers and such is an excellent and cost effective way to promote.
I have an Etsy shop called alphaflamingocrafts where I sell my handmade jewellery, have probably mentioned this before but I do want to try to get my own website!

Yes I import and export many products, I do sell a lot of my products on ebay for years. I was selling selling on Amazon but the Amazon website wasn’t Secure the security wasn’t good, so I closed my Amazon account.
Yes I’m now trying to build a shopify online store but I’m having a little difficulty it’s all new to me. So I asked my daughter if she can build it for me, she is very good with computer science. Well we see how I get on with it in the new year. I really need this online shop. Its a demand from many of my clients.
