In what ways do you think that we can encourage more volunteer participation in local shelters or food banks?

Working to increase feelings of community would encourage more volunteerism, I believe.

In lots of the UK at least, there doesn’t seem to be the same cohesion as there used to be.

There are several things that can be done to encourage more volunteer to help, however, there is one in particular that comes to mind. That is by posting notices around town asking for volunteer showing the need and benefits.
