If I know what is wrong and able to fix, I think I would try and fix it but I have no clue at all with cars so I would take it to the professional.
Not just your husband Dawn, mine too .Sometimes I end up picking up the peaces. Lol.
If I know what the problem is and it’s not too complicated of a fix I’ll do it myself. Two years ago my car’s AC wasn’t cooling and I knew it needed Freon. Around here it costs about $300 to have the refrigerant in your car taken care of at an auto shop. I bought Freon for about $13 and did it myself, works like a dream and I saved a bundle of money!
Thank you for your response. Yes something like that is an easy fix and you knew how to do it. Would you change your own brakes or change your own rotors to save money? I would and my husband does. Im just curious
l do not know anything about cars. l just watch my dad do everything from the window.
Thank you for your answer, at least you still have someone at home to fix vehicles

Thank you for your answer.
I agree that is probably the best solution because doing work if you don’t know what’s being done could make the problem worse and lead to a more expensive bill at the mechanic. I wish my husband understood that. LOL
