Cookies are made from dough and you have to bake them so they can rise, you can’t fry the cookies like bacon that is sliced from meat.
You are welcome!

Bacon is meat that is packaged or sold in slides from any butcher shop.Bacon can be baked and fried. As for cookie dough it is the same similarity to bread dough. Both need to be baked.

Why is bacon cooked while cookies are baked?
cookies are baked because they are made from dough and ingredients that need to be cooked in a closed environment like an over to achieve a specific texture and flavor.. I cook bacon on the stove because I love the taste of bacon grace on my bacon and people who put it in the oven idk maybe its less gracer more dried out

Bacon is usually cooked in a pan or fried, while cookies are baked in the oven. We typically use “cook” as a general term and “bake” for things made in the oven, especially sweets and pastries. Though, I know some people- including myself – who bake bacon or other meats in the oven too 😀

You are very welcome, Jacqueline.
Perhaps because of the ingredients that make up bacon, cook better and quicker being fried. Because cookies are made of dough and are suppose to be soft and chewy the oven will give you that effect.

Bacon is cooked because it’s a raw meat while cookies are dry dough needs to be baked.
Well said Riz and thank you for sharing your comment
But bacon can be baked in the oven. Some of the best chefs suggest that it is the right way to do it. But if you ever decide to fry or boil cookie dough, I wish you luck.
That’s true Carole you can bake or fry bacon so the question really should have been why can’t cookies be fried? Something like that thanks for sharing comment
