I am wondering if my fellow Americans are in a celebratory mood for the 4th of July this year? If you are not living in the United States, does your country do anything for the 4th of July at all, or is it just another day on your calendar?
This will be my grandson’s first 4th of July, so he experiencing fireworks would be cool, but I don’t know what his parents have decided. I am going to work like any other day and take my extra holiday pay for working. I don’t feel much like celebrating, to be honest. Especially with the whole ginormous ugly bill getting ready to pass the house, and medical will be cut for 17 million Americans.
Usually our household traditions are to cook out, go to the block party and watch fireworks in the nighttime. What are your family traditions?
We celebrate Independence Day every year at my house. Things are not perfect here but most people in the US have more freedom and opportunities than many countries so we try to appreciate the good things we have.
You’re welcome Dawn.
Happy 4th of July 🎊 🎉 🎊 we celebrate it every year with a BBQ at home and then off to the river and then later in the evening we ahead to the stadium to watch the firework show
Thank you for your response
You’re welcome
Actually we do don’t celebrate July 4th in the UK 🇬🇧 I don’t think England wanted to give America their Independence anyway, maybe that’s why the English doesn’t celebrate it, who knows why??? As for me I don’t really bother with it. Just a normal day to me nothing more!!
This Fourth of July which just passed many folks, even with the get together and the cookout, all felt that there was not much joy and excitement like in prior years.Even if some folks are not US citizens, they had been happier.Only time will tell.

I use to observe this day with cooking and fireworks. Now, it’s just another day to me and I just do the same thing I do everyday. I will be in the LuckScout community visiting different groups and having fun.
Sounds like a perfect plan! thank you for your response.
You are welcome!
