I grew up with a dishwasher, but my hubby never had one or believes in them. When we moved to our new home in 2020, it had a dishwasher. We had to throw it away due to it being all rusted. There is an empty spot in between my cabinets under the countertop where it was sitting.
I was cooking and tripped over the dog, fell backwards in the hole. Scraped both of the back of my arms and hit my head. Still no dishwasher. Hubby said he will put shelves in it and a door or a cute curtain. I am still asking when this is happening❓
I have a dishwasher but prefer handwash.

Do dishes both ways, just depends on what how many dishes and what can go 8n the dishwasher
Both , I wash the food off then let the dishwasher sanitize them or wash them

Both, I have a dishwasher and a 2-bay kitchen sink, there are certain things that should never go through the dishwasher anyway. But generally I hand wash everything at least right now because I ran out of dishwasher soap and haven’t had the funds to go buy more, at the moment.

Nice. There are some dishes that cannot go in the dishwasher. I have several cast iron skillets, and they have to be hand washed and seasoned.

Dishwashers are for people who are lazy and don’t want to stand in front of their sinks and hand wash their dishes.
Yes, I understand that view as well. Seems like you practically wash them anyway before loading the dishwasher.
