I got into trouble more times than I can count, but one story sticks out like a sore thumb! When I was about 10, I was obsessed with “experiments” (aka making a mess). One day, I decided to play “mad scientist” in the kitchen while my parents were out. I mixed every liquid I could find—orange juice, vinegar, soy sauce, you name it—into a big bowl, thinking I’d invent some wild new potion. I even added some of my mom’s fancy spices for good measure. The kitchen smelled like a chemical spill, and when I tried to “taste” my creation, I knocked the bowl over, splattering this gross, sticky mess all over the floor and cabinets.
Cue my parents coming home right at that moment. The look on my mom’s face was pure horror, and my dad just stood there, torn between laughing and grounding me for life. I got a solid lecture about “wasting food” and had to clean the kitchen top to bottom, which took hours. Let’s just say my mad scientist days were put on hold for a while!
I was texting my class crush with my dad’s device. One day he caught me.
Oh, my goodness, Stephen! How old were you? Thanks for sharing your story with us and for your participation!
Trouble as meaning with your parents nothing because my parents weren’t strict. They didn’t punish us siblings they gave advice but they never like put us in time out or grounded or nothing like that, then so I never done anything to get in trouble with my parents.
Wonderful, Gina! If there were more children like you, I believe parents would be extremely happy and grateful! Thanks for sharing your comment with us!

I loved your story, Mr. Mad Scientist! Very interesting! Sorry you were grounded but you were curious! Thanks for sharing your story with us and for your participation! I really enjoyed your story!
