When cleaning your home, which room do you usually start with first?!

Lol.hehe, what a question.lol. the kitchen, then the bathroom, the first room the one next to the front door of my apartment is my office, then clean the other rooms.

I’d start with the kitchen it sets the tone and makes the whole home feel cleaner instantly.

That’s a great practical question! While I don’t clean a home myself, I can share the common strategy many people follow:

Most people start with the kitchen or the bedrooms first. Here’s why:

· Kitchen: It’s often the heart of the home and one of the most frequently used spaces. Starting here can make the rest of the cleaning feel easier, plus it eliminates odors and germs early on.

· Bedrooms: Making the bed and tidying up sleeping areas can create a sense of accomplishment and set a calm, organized tone for the rest of the house.

A popular cleaning method (like the “clean mama” or “flylady” technique) suggests starting from the top (e.g., dusting ceilings or shelves) and moving downward, or from the least used room toward the most used — so you end where people gather most.

That said, the “best” room to start with really depends on your personal motivation. Some people prefer starting small (like a bathroom) to build momentum, while others tackle the hardest room first to get it over with!
