Happy Rice Krispie Treat Day! A day to appreciate that soft, crunchy treat of rice krispie cereal and marshmallow. Customizable, delicious.
Do you like these tasty treats? If so, what do you put in them and when do you like to make them?
I generally make them in the summertime, but I am thinking of giving them a whirl over the holiday season. I keep it simple with the standard recipe, but my dad loves to put melted semi-sweet chocolate on top. YUM!
Happy Thursday!
Love rice crispy treats
Of course the original
Awesome! Thanks for sharing 🙂
You’re welcome
Absolutely. It’s hard not to like that perfect mix of crunchy, sweet, and chewy. A classic for a reason.
Happy Rice Krispie Treat Day
I couldn’t agree more, Kelvin! Enjoy!
Yes, it is my favorite
Thank you for sharing, Kayode! Do you have any favorite mix ins?
Yes I love them.
Thanks for chiming in, Damon! Do you have a favorite flavor, or do you like the original?
There are so many ways you can make rice crispy treats. The original is usually our go to. We have done coco crispy, carmal crispy. butterscotch, and more.
Caramel ones would be perfect for this time of year, I’ll have to look into that! Happy creating, Jamie!
I love them! One of my favorites.
Mine too! They’re a little tricky to make, but it’s always worth it. Thanks for sharing, Erica!
Nooooo!!!! I can’t stand marshmallows lol
Oh no! I think marshmallows are my favorite kind of candy, along with chocolate. What makes you dislike it, if I may ask? I’ll eat them for you, Teresa 🙂
I love rice crispy treats
there is a site that sells gourmet rice crispy treats
goldbelly.com
smores, m&m, birthday cake, pumpkin pie, cookies and cream to name a few
I’ve never heard of a pumpkin pie rice krispie treat before! I need to check that out, thanks for letting me know, Elizabeth!
your welcome
I like them. However,I don’t have time to bake them.I do eat the store bought ones, but not so much as they are loaded with sugar.
They are tricky to make, no lie. And I try to ignore how much sugar they contain, and pace myself. Luckily, they’re rich and you can only eat one at a time. Thanks for sharing, Myriam!
You are welcome.
Yes I love Rice krispie treats I make mine from scratch those u buy out of the store is not good at all
I like the store bought ones in a pinch, but I think they contain too many preservatives, they’re a little bitter to me. Homemade takes the cake, every time. Thanks for chiming in, Felicia!
Rice crispy treat are the best. My favorite kind would be Coco crispy. We make a caramel marshmallow that is amazing.
Heck yes! Chocolate krispies are next level, and with caramel??? Sign me up! Thanks for sharing, Jamie 🙂
I like Rice Krispie with mixed fruits, cinnamon and honey, milk
So decadent, kind of sounds like an energy bar, but better. Thanks for sharing, David!
I love these sweet, crunchy marshmallow treats too. I usually stick to the classic recipe but sometimes add chocolate chips or sprinkles. Perfect anytime, but especially fun to make during holidays or summer gatherings!
Yes! Summer is usually the time I make them, but I am thinking of doing some holiday themed ones this year for my kids. Thanks for chiming in, Ethienne!
No ma’am I don’t but my children and husband does. I find them to be very bland.
Fair enough! I would suggest melted chocolate on top if you decide to try them again. That adds some incredible flavor. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Gina!
I love Rice Krispies treats! They are a nice treat that’s easy to make!
I agree, Mitzi! Though I sometimes struggle with the marshmallow, as it feels like it hardens a bit too fast for me to work with. Have a great Friday, and thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome! I usually warm it a bit to keep it easy to mix for a longer amount of time.
Yes, I do like them and make them occasionally. I like the basic recipe. There are a lot of cute ideas out there, especially holiday themes. 🎃👻🦃🎄
Thanks for sharing, Rhonda! I’ve debated if I want to make some holiday themed treats, as the holidays are something I really love. Might have to go on a limb and try! Have a great day!
I love rice krispy treats! One time I made them into headgehogs. I shaped the treat into a hedgehog-ish shape and dipped them in chocolate. I use chocolate chips for eyes and a nose
Those sound so cute, Kara! I should give those a go for the fall season. Thanks for sharing, and have a great day!

Thanks for sharing, Jacqueline! Do you have a favorite mix in or do you prefer the original?
