I think science and technology will play a much larger role than natural evolution from this point forward. Natural evolution works on very long timescales, but technology like genetic engineering, AI integration, and cybernetics is advancing rapidly. We’re already augmenting our minds and bodies with tools, medicine, and devices. It seems likely that we’ll intentionally design our future evolution rather than wait for nature to take its course. That said, ethics and accessibility will be huge questions along the way.
