The bible presents the soul as the whole living person, encompassing their entire being, including their thoughts, emotions, and will, rather than just an immaterial part of the body that survives death. While the body can die, the soul, in the biblical sense, is a life-giving force and the essence of human personality. The soul can experience death, such as when a person ” dies in his iniquity’ (Ezekiel 18:4), but in the New Testament, Jesus assures believers that their souls cannot be killed by those who can only harm the physical body.
You’re welcome
I believe the soul exists in your heart and is there to morally guide you during your journey on earth. After we die I believe we return to God before venturing on a new journey. A part of us always remains through out these journeys but whether that is called our soul or something else I do not know
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Emile
I believe the soul continues after death because consciousness feels deeper than just brain activity. Many spiritual traditions support this idea, and personal experiences, intuition, and near-death accounts suggest that something beyond the physical body may persist after death.

This is one of life’s biggest mysteries, and I don’t claim to have a definitive answer. Personally, I like to believe that some form of consciousness or energy continues after death — it’s a comforting thought that gives meaning to life and loss. But I also respect the scientific perspective that consciousness is tied to brain function. In the end, it comes down to what brings someone peace or purpose.
