Excellent and thoughtful question.
Yes, education does improve people—but it improves our knowledge and skills, not necessarily our behavior or judgment in the moment.
Here’s why we still repeat mistakes:
1. Knowledge vs. Wisdom
Education gives us information (“This is harmful”), but wisdom is applying that knowledge under pressure, emotion, or habit—which is much harder.
2. Emotion Overrides Logic
When stressed, afraid, or tempted, the emotional part of the brain often overrides the logical, educated part. That’s why we might know better but still act against our knowledge.
3. Habits Are Powerful
We often run on autopilot. Changing deeply ingrained habits requires more than education—it takes conscious effort, repetition, and sometimes outside support.
4. Education Isn’t Just Formal
Sometimes the lessons we need aren’t taught in school—like self-awareness, empathy, or resilience. Those often come through experience, reflection, or mentorship.
So education lays the foundation, but growth comes from combining learning with self-awareness and the courage to change.
Yes education improve people and we’re all human so in life we’re going to make mistakes education shouldn’t have anything to do with humans making mistakes

We would never learn anything if we did not make mistakes. Education provides us with a certain amount of knowledge but each mistake is a life experience which hopefully we can learn from so that we try not to make the same mistake in future
