How do you draw a line between discussing and gossiping?

Gossip is the act of sharing information about other people without their presence or consent.   Not verified information.   Own your words!!!!!  If you are going to talk about something that doesn’t involve you directly.   Or wasn’t your first hand experience or your a witness to.   Make sure that you own your words when asked about it.  Don’t say can’t tell you who told me. Or you didn’t hear it from me.  Hate those phrases

If I said it I will tell you I said it and why I said it if necessary.   If you ask me it might be uncomfortable but I will own mine.    Don’t agree with me let’s discuss it.

A gossip doesn’t produce positive impact but a discussion can and also change a mindset. I make excuses not to be available for gossips, but I’m always ready to show up in discussions.

During discussion, you learn and unlearn. You get useful information that can change your life but when gossiping about someone, your bringing the person down unknowingly to them. It’s unhealthy and can hinder one’s blessings so it’s better to draw a line and walk away.

Productivity.

That a very good question!!! Yes discussion, very good, but I’m a upfront person I say it as it is, I just say it out I don’t really want to hear it. Sometimes you just have to say it let a person know you don’t want to hear that.

In my experience, Discussion has to do with reasoning and explaining facts.  Where as gossiping is bringing up facts you don’t know are true just heard or aren’t yours to say.

To me discussion is talking about facts, something of interest or someone without lying about stuffs.
