This year I cooked for the first time for Thanksgiving dinner. I was nervous due to the fact that I had not tried the recipes I chose and I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. There were no leftovers so I assume I did well. My question here is how was your Thanksgiving? Any firsts like me this year?
We had a great Thanksgiving and since my grown kids did the cooking, I didn’t have to do anything!! I did take a dessert because I didn’t want to show up empty handed lol. It sounds like you did a great job cooking if there were no leftovers!!! Congratulations 🎉 🥳

Oh yes they do. My oldest is 15 youngest is 6.
Mine are both girls, 39 and 35!!! Wow
I had an ok time. I am more of a loner but My landlady and another friend always brings me a plate of food. I am heading towards becoming a vegetarian. I am picky about my health. I have dealt with eating issues in the past. Most holidays, I stay home.
Well I am glad that you’re blessed with a caring landlady and friend on the holidays. And being a loner isn’t always a bad thing. In my experience it’s the best way to stay out of trouble lol
My hubby & I cooked for total of 10 people (family) ❣
We ended up cooking a ham with pineapple & brown sugar 😋 and a turkey 🦃❣ Two dozen of deviled eggs❣ Green bean casserole, sweet corn, real mashed potatoes & gravy, pecan pie and apple pie. The menu changed a bit from original due to making sure the little ones ate well.
All went well and daughter even brought her big chocolate lab, so we had three dogs and they all behaved❣
Just turkey & ham leftover❣ I couldn’t believe all the deviled eggs were gone, I didn’t even get one. We ate rest of ham and ate on turkey two days❣ 😋😋😋😋😋😋

Sounds like you had a great time. The dogs were good thinking they may get some turkey and ham too . My family loves deviled eggs also so I understand. Thank you I am happy it went well also.

Our Thanksgiving was quiet, just the hubs and the kids. We had a nice breakfast, and a delicious dinner that we ate down over the next few days. Then we finished by watching a stream of the Macy’s Parade. It was lovely!
