You probably can make 6+ figures a year at a job, depending on the position. But as long as you are somebody’s employee, nobody would ever make a fortune at a job; it doesn’t matter how many hours and overtime you do. The 9-to-5 system is not designed for employees to make a fortune; if that were the case, everybody would quit once they made a fortune. The employer will never allow that to happen; they give employees just enough to come back for another paycheck. It’s the circle of life. As long as you work for somebody, you’re always going to be capped at the salary they want to give you as an employee.
