He should definitely have his finances in order before taking on that huge responsibility. Example: the wedding, the house or apartment you both will live in, his own personal bills, plus taking care of his wife and kids. Even if y’all go 50/50 on expenses, the man typically holds down the household financially. So in some type of way, it still will be 70/30 or 80/20, which is still beneficial. At least you have a wife who is willing to help you and the family. But in most cases, even if you have that support from your spouse, you still want to make sure you financially prepare for that lifestyle change, such as budgeting for new expenses related to family life and ensuring savings for future needs. Marriage is about being a team, not being a burden.
A man doesn’t have to be perfectly wealthy to get married, but having basic financial stability helps. This means a steady income, manageable debt, some savings, and the ability to budget together. Financial stability reduces stress, but emotional readiness, shared values, and good communication are just as important. Waiting until everything is “perfect” isn’t necessary; being responsible and planning together matters more.
Marriage comes with so many responsibilities. There is no particular age and time that proves financial stability for à man, so long a man is certain he can feed himself and additional one or two persons provided he is not lazy, and he keeps putting effort for his own betterment then he can settle down.
