Texting is usually preferred because it’s:
Quick and convenient
Less intrusive (the other person can reply when free)
Good for casual or short updates
Calling tends to happen when:
Something is urgent
You need to explain something complex
You want a more personal, emotional connection
So in general: text for everyday communication, call for importance or closeness.
It actually depends on the information you trying to pass across at that moment so you can choose to either call or send a message.
Yes I agree, there are some things that it’s way too much work to try to write out or explain in a text. Thanks for your reply!
Calling is the best for me as I would like to hear…know and feel the response….reactions and friendly gestures that comes with ….its family we are talking about.
So true, I love talking to family at times depending on the conversation and how involved it is, texting can be too much if I have a lot to say lol. Thanks for your response Joy!
I prefer texting unless it’s my family I always call my mum rather than text 😊
I prefer texting too because I know me and how long I will be on the phone if I call lol . I’m a talker! Thanks so much for your comment Bryony!
It depends on the actual person am calling. If it is a family, am most likely to call. I only text when i can’t reach out or probably the prson I’m calling is busy, and the text will definitely be “call you back” when you are available or “give me a beep rather” when you are available.
But fr friends, am most likely gonna chat the person up via socials
Thanks so much Jude!! I usually text or use FB messenger because I’m a talker and can be long winded lol . I appreciate your response and participation!

Great points Ashiedu!! Thank you for sharing my friend
