I see some people seem to know, that is water displacement, I was always under the illusion it was the inventors initials, I could be wrong but, I am now off to Google it 😂
Lol! Cheers Ben!
I do not know, i never felt the need to know. However i do like to use it. Good question Kevin!!!
Thank you my brother!
I’m so sorry 😂 I immediately googled it 🫣
I can’t help myself
Looool CHERYL!!!!♂️
WD-40 essentially means Water Displacement, 40th Attempt. Pretty cool how persistence paid off, right?
40th attempt?? Wow! I love the resilience! Thank you Lakeshia!
WD stands for water displacement
Shĥhhhh! Lol
How did you know, Jacqueline???
I have an old can of the WD you said don’t google it
yes, you are right I did say don’t GOOGLE it!♂️
I’ve been familiar with WD40 all my life and I have no idea what the WD stands for! What I do know though is that here in the South, they say you can fix anything with a little WD40 and duct tape lol 🤣 😆 🤣
Lol Theresa! You’re so right! Before WD-40 we had a tin here in UK called 3in1 oil, which used to be the goto brand!
Oh that’s cool Kevin did people use it for almost everything like they do WD40 here in the US?
Yes they did! It was a must in every house lol.or at least, that’s what the ads said!
Same here, it’s doubtful you’ll find a home in the US that doesn’t have WD40 lol

Thanks Iwona! I’m actually not sure what the company is…
