You Should Not Take Advice From People Who Are Not Where You Want to Be in Life

I don’t know whose quote this is:

You should not take advice from people who are not where you want to be in life.

I have seen other versions of it too:

Never take advice from people who aren’t getting the results you want to experience.

They both make a lot of sense. But the problem is, those who are not qualified to advise, they volunteer to advise you, and it will become a disaster if you listen to them. The bigger problem is, usually those who are qualified to advise, they don’t offer to advise, or there is no way for you to know them because they don’t talk about the things they know.

This is the root of many problems, at least on the Internet:

99.99% of those who charge people online to give advice or offer their eBooks and courses are not qualified to do that. For example, there are thousands of books and courses about online trading. But, none of them work because no one has ever been able to become a consistently profitable trader by following those books and courses. The reason is, a real professional and consistently profitable trader who can really teach you how to trade doesn’t sell any books, nor do they ever want to make money through training courses. If you can check those who sell these kinds of books and courses, you will find out that either they have never traded with real money, or if they have, they have lost all their money, and so they have decided to make money through teaching people how to trade: Is Growing Your Money Through Trading Easy?

It becomes a bigger disaster when such a so-called trader decides to trade with your money to give you some profit every month. Your money will be gone definitely.

If someone is a good, professional and consistently profitable trader, they can easily make a lot of money through trading, and so they don’t need us to buy their books and courses, nor do they need our money to trade, take a percentage and give us some profit (read this article too). They can simply trade with their own money and have less headaches.

Unfortunately, it is too hard to find the right person to take advice from. But, taking no advice and doing nothing is better than taking wrong advice from wrong people and then take action according to them that will result in making huge mistakes.

The right way is usually clear and straight-forward. But we make it complicated by taking too much information from wrong people, and by rushing to make a decision within a short time. In many cases, we have enough time to wait more and make a better decision. For example, in the case of trading, the best traders are the ones who are out of the markets 99% of the time. Those who over-trade are the ones who wipe out their accounts all the time.

Good ways toward success are not usually the fastest ones…
