I must say that I do believe the earth could be flat, if that’s the manner in which our Creator would have wanted to invent it.
However, my belief is that the earth is round as a circle is round. If the Sun orbits around earth, rising from its resting place in the east and setting in the west, returning back to its same place of rest, then I would imagine that being difficult to occur if the earth were flat. In order for a thing to go around something else, that something else has to be in a form that gives off the ability for a thing to go around it.
How can the Sun return to the exact same place it came from after beginning its journey by heading in a direction opposite of where it was resting, if the earth wasn’t round but instead, flat?
The Sun would have to reach it’s destination, and then go back in the direction it started from to return to it’s resting place, if the earth was flat. Not to mention, it travels in only one direction everyday from start to finish → from east to west from east to west from east to west from east to west.
Just because it makes more logical sense for the earth to be flat from a human’s perspective regarding there being “ends” of the earth, doesn’t mean that it doesn’t make even more greater sense that there exists ends of the earth because there’s a universe, a sun, a moon, stars, etc. that exists on the outside of the Earth’s atmosphere that makes their way around earth’s still position.
Earth is the center of the Universe and was set in position, stationed on its pillars, hanging from nothing in mid air, so that it could not be moved, and the Sun, Moon, and Universe revolves around the earth. That description is inspired by Almighty God Himself. He made NO mistakes when describing that of which is of His own creations.
The earth is round if you think about it how can one side of the earth be in darkness while the other side see light. The logic I get from that is if the earth were flat then it would forever be daylight, or we would always be in darkness if there were no sun. The sun and the moon sit still while the earth is constantly moving that’s how the one side of the world sees sunlight while the other side of the world see the moon and darkness.
It’s not an argument it’s a fact but of course you will believe what you want I’m not here to change your mind. I know the earth is round one other factor is the sun rises from the east and sets in the west the is real there is no argument about that all you have to do is go out look and see for yourself.
“True knowledge exists in knowing that you know nothing” – Socrates
I hold this dear and have very few firm beliefs, i like to know all there is know about all the different theories, and love discussing them
Theories are not facts only something one believes to be a possibility not necessarily true. I’m not speaking on theories I’m speaking on facts of which can be proven true.

How Do We Know the Earth Is Round?
Patrick McGurrin

When you are able to get up, above the horizon, whether in a plane or in the International Space Station, you can see that the edge of Earth is rounded. By watching as the Earth also rotates from that view, you can see that the Earth is a rotating sphere and is not flat. Image by NASA.
Like the other planets, the Earth is a sphere. It rotates around its own axis slowly but continuously, and completes this rotation about once every 24 hours. As the Earth rotates, part of the Earth is facing the sun, and part of it faces away. This is why some parts of the world have day and night at different times
There are a number of reasons why scientists know that the Earth is round, and not flat. It turns out that we can test many of these reasons out for ourselves, too.
- If the Earth was flat, we would be able to look out and see very far, assuming that there were no buildings in the way. We could see another city that’s hundreds of miles away. Or a ship sailing out to sea. The boat would stay in view no matter how far out to sea it went.
However, if we look out when standing on the ground, we can’t see that far. We can’t look out into the distance and see a town that’s miles away. And a ship will slowly start to disappear from view as it gets farther away. This is because the Earth is round. Things in the distance are not visible because there is a curve to the landscape.
One way to test this is to watch the sunset. Find a spot where you can see the sunset, and also have a place close by where you can safely move higher, such as a tree or building. Or even start laying down and then stand up. On the ground, the sun will eventually disappear beyond the horizon. When this happens, quickly go to your higher spot. From there, you’ll be able to see the sun again for a brief time.
- You have probably seen that when the sun is out, it causes a shadow to form if it hits something. It turns out that we can use shadows as another piece of evidence that the Earth is round.

The fact that the sun sets at different times in different locations lets us know that the Earth is a sphere. Image by NASA.
Personally I don’t believe it could be flat, I can’t see how that is possible, so I do believe it is round.
Thanks for your view!
When people say no to this question, a common protest is that it would be impossible for them to lie about this, and that there are no reasons for them to do so. If you believe, or suspect, that they could and would deceive humanity, it makes sense to conclude that we just don’t know. We can’t verify it ourselves and the information has become so muddied. I don’t know what our universe or world really is, but I don’t trust the people that tell us what our ‘official narrative’ is.
The first answer and I feel like you could not have said it better! I have no idea what to believe as when fed constant lies, unless you can seek the true answer yourself it’s all guess work. Thankyou for your view!

All the simple arguments have a counter with flat earth! People who believe the earth is flat often also believe that the sun and moon are much smaller and much closer than we are taught. They often will also believe both exist inside a dome. With this model the sun in the west has light that only reaches the west, leaving the east in darkness!
