🧴 Stop Taxing Health — Remove Sales Tax on Essential Products
Sunscreen prevents skin cancer.
Basic hygiene products protect health and dignity.
Preventive care reduces long-term healthcare costs.
Yet many essential health products are still taxed as if they were optional luxuries.
For families already struggling with rising grocery bills, rent, and utility costs, every extra tax adds up.
When governments say “health matters,” policy should reflect it.
We are not asking for handouts.
We are asking for fairness.
If a product prevents disease, protects health, or supports basic human dignity, it should not be treated as a luxury item.
We demand:
• Removal of sales tax on essential preventive health products
• Clear classification of what qualifies as health necessities
• Transparent public reporting on tax revenue from essential items
Public health should be encouraged — not penalized at checkout.
