Should your adult children get a say on the design of their bedroom in YOUR house?

Yes they should have a say in the design of their room in my house

Yes sure why not it’s their bedroom thay live in it yes why not. Thay know what they want so leave them to design their own bedroom.

No they still don’t know anything worthwhile. I have to guide them in this.

My father let me do what I want to my own bedroom as an adult so yes I did the same for my children as well.

For me there are many factors. Are they working? Are they helping with chores? Are they a team family member? If so, yes If not, no‼

They are adults so obviously they should have a say in the design of their room

I say yes and no. They don’t truly have the ability to make you do what they want, but they should be allowed their input of opinion and take that into consideration, but other than that no they don’t really when its ultimately the parents decision.

Yes of course they should even tho it’s your house you gave that room to your child as there safe space and that is there room until they get a home of their own and if they should ever need to move back in to that room it is there’s to decorate as they please. My opinion of course i know other people will think differently

I think adult children should have a say in the design of their bedroom if they are still living at home and helping to pay the rent and bills.

Lucky are those young generations they enjoy the freedom of expression unlike during our time whatever our olds say we just accept.

I dont think either one fits all but for me i would let them decide the setup

I agree if you are a responsible adult who will to help out in whatever way possible if needed, but if you are not responsible then no I just don’t believe in making life hard for myself and that’s what a grown adult will do if they are not willing to do their part.

My children are still too small. But, I’d decorate their rooms according to what they like because it’s fun!

When I was younger, and lived at home; my mom always catered to me and helped me decorate my room the way I wanted.

I believe one should always give there children a say, your job is to encourage and support and of course guide them. We let our son arrange his room from the time he could make a point or get his desire across. As long as it was safe we let him express who he was at the time. It did change quite often and i enjoyed watching him grow and change into the man he is today.

I have no children.

But when I was a child, about 12, I was allowed to pick a color for my room.  Then I went with my mom to pick out the carpeting, wallpaper and bedspread.  Of course everything had to meet my parent’s approval but I didn’t pick out anything too crazy either.
