When it involves the living body, why is it called plastic surgery?

I think it’s a lazy and old fashioned term Judy. Just meaning artifical. I guess plastics are used in the process but I wouldn’t know for sure.

I think it is because, whatever the plastic surgery on someone’s body is just a temporary thing. It is not your natural make up. It fades up with time unless, you keep the check ups by the specialist doctor as advised. That’s my opinion.

It is called plastic surgery because what is put into your body is not real flesh it not real.
