I live in the USA and BIG PHARMA is wreaking havoc on all classes of income. What are some of your favorite home remedies that the pharmaceutical world cannot compete with?
Here are some of mine that I swear by:
- Coconut oil for rashes.
- Dial soap for shaving cream (really good with sensitive skin).
- Baking powder used for a natural “clarifying” agent to cleanse your hair and/or use it as body scrub.
- A shot of moonshine for a sore throat/cold (of course age appropriate).
1. Honey and Lemon for Sore Throat: Mix honey and lemon in warm water to soothe a sore throat.
2. Ginger Tea for Nausea: Boil sliced ginger in water to make a tea that can help alleviate nausea.
3. Saltwater Gargle for Sore Throat: Gargle with warm salt water to reduce inflammation and relieve throat pain.
4. Peppermint Oil for Headaches: Apply diluted peppermint oil to the temples to help alleviate tension headaches.
5. Apple Cider Vinegar for Heartburn: Dilute apple cider vinegar in water and drink it to help reduce symptoms of heartburn.
6. Oatmeal for Skin Irritation: Apply cooked oatmeal to irritated skin to soothe and moisturize.
7. Aloe Vera for Sunburn: Apply pure aloe vera gel to sunburned skin for cooling relief and to promote healing.
8. Steam Inhalation for Congestion: Inhale steam from a bowl of hot water to help clear congestion and relieve sinus pressure.
