Yes and No!
I guess the phrase “kill em with kindness” goes a long way! I have a limit, don’t use me and abuse my kindness. I have neighbors that I have helped, and we are friendly, and I have neighbors who I felt only used me and be around me to get what they want and then act like they don’t see me when passing by. So don’t act like you see me when you need something because now I don’t hear u. If children are involved, I will gladly feed them.
I probably would help them, as you never really know what is going on in someone’s life, they could have been having a bad day, I never like confrontation so I would want to do my best to see if I could change their opinion of me, but sometimes there is no changing people’s minds.

Yes I agree with you you never know what someone else is going through could be a bad day could be a divorce they could be on the verge of losing everything they could have lost someone they really love you just never know and in reality are you helping them could turn their situation around for the better so yes I would definitely help them
