Really! Why Do We Yawn?

Yawning cools the brain, improves respiratory function and alsocould be caused by social empathy.

When you’re sleepy and you’re still awake, that’s why you yawn.

I honestly don’t think anyone really know the real answer. However, my answer would be, it is contagious. I can see someone on tv yawning and I will yawn.

I’m not exactly sure why, but I do know that it is a part of a normal body function. Happens most of the time when you are tired.
