It is all best to tell the truth. There is always more than one way to tell the truth if you trying to a spare feelings, and it is never a goodtime to lie you should absolutely not ever lie there is no real reason too.
I personally feel a lie is a lie big or small. Be honest with the people around you, do it respectively of course.
Listen the truth always prevail all that you just say is missing one thing the truth about what happen as to why whomever feels that you are the one who committed such an unthinkable crime. There is no way someone will blame you unless they know you. Something is fishy something stinks I’m no detective, but there is some missing pieces to this puzzle. How do you know anything about this situation you said someone that looks like you did this. My question is how do you know anything if it wasn’t you. You claiming innocents, but it’s not making sense. Tell the whole story of what really happened so it can be better understood.

I hope you don’t mind me asking you this and painting this scenario.
Say that suddenly, just in the knick of time you left your home with almost everything in it. You kept getting a strange, yet strong gut feeling that you needed to leave.
Someone has been after you to execute you for only speculating that you brutally, cold-hearted murdered their child, being your description is so close in resemblance to the actual killer.
You can’t go to the police or any type of higher authority because nothing has actually happened yet. You don’t have money to hire bodyguards or a security team 24/7. In your entire life, you’ve never trained to use any firearms or trained in any defense classes. Of course, you can’t turn to any family because they’ve already paid unpleasant, but non-fatal visits to all of your members to ensure you weren’t with them, stopped by, or know why they’re looking for you.
You’ve been running, ducking, and hiding for over a year now and have just slipped into a slim opening that leads into someone’s home, after briefly being spotted by them.
You get a chance to explain to your innocence to the home owners because you don’t want to die for someone else’s wrongdoing. They believe you to the fullest, however, the home owners insist on turning you over to the very ones that is going to instantly execute you the moment they grab a hold of you. All based on it being never a good time or reason to tell a lie.
Do you still agree?
I’ve learned one extremely important thing about life. We must accept the bad with the good, the negative with the positive, the dark with the light, the fall with the rise Why? Because, for example, if we must accept intentional harm and go on living with the truth that a lie caused our innocent dear relative to, unfortunately, be put to death by a jury’s careless ruling, then why not accept then intentional harmless and go on living with the truth that a little white lie saved an innocent life?
We must remember that the way life works here can be tricky at times, yet not too hard to figure out. For instance:
”Boy, I’m sure grateful I’ve had a chance to personally meet struggle face to face. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have had the skills to teach all of these around me how to improvise without lights, without warm water, without a stoven to prepare food, without electrical sockets to power up things, and more…”
When our soul feels good about having the ability to teach someone a thing or three that we have knowledge of, that’s useful, effective, and efficient so that they too can reap great benefits and/or rewards the same as ourselves, when feeling their excitement amplifies your excitement for them even more, when you’re searching for chances to feel another’s joy for them before yourself, that’s when you’ve truly get a grip on life.
Everything else falls into place with you coming to know how to make the “seemingly” bad situation work with the good one, how to shed light upon the dark, how to spark a charge working the negative with the positive, the choice to continue living after being forced to accept a lie that caused you harm, how to choose to tell a lie because your intentions are harmless or are not to cause any more harm, they’re good, and your heart is in the right place, and choosing to plan to fail because it’s okay to do so, making it that much easier to pick yourself up again quick and even quicker the next time.
If you never plan to fail in life, there won’t be a second chance because the one time you do fall, you’ll never get up!
Planning to fail is the ultimate conqueror of success!
