I was dealt two choices in life at 13yo going on 14: ¹give up completely, or ²grow into an adult well before being considered one legally by age.
So at 18yo I had my own place, a great paying job at the time, and had just escaped a terrible terrible situation that I was fortunate to persevere through. I was so eager to prove to a companion how much love I had to offer and that I’d be there for them no matter what.
Little did I know that in my very first relationship, it would cost me freedom to express a voice of my own, freedom to make my own decisions, and to suffer for the aches and pains caused by previous partners.
This would only be temporarily, though.
Therefore, I believe that sharing equally between two people should be the main thing implemented in a relationship. No, obviously the woman is incapable of doing everything that her husband does, such as things involving physical strength. However, everything from respecting one another on to abiding by the same morals are of extreme importance.
One cannot expect the other to abide by and respect them on principles of specificity, yet act in manners that are completely in opposition of those exact same principles.
Things between the couple then rules totally unfair and improperly imbalanced. Not to mention the hypocritical and contradictory actions that takes place.
Therefore, true love comes first. As long as true love is leading the way, everything that follow aligns accordingly.
