My biggest obstacle is myself. I really don’t think that I have yet overcome this obstacle completely either.
A traumatic childhood followed by several years of Addiction. Proud to say I’m 2 years sober and still working thru my PTSD one day at a time
Lee~ you are so right. We will overcome and go on. Time will not stand still as much as I try to make it stop. I am truly thankful for the strong foundation that I have had and I haven’t had the things others have as obstacles. For this Yes, I am very lucky. I just still need to learn to have a little more faith in myself. @docwat

Jill, I’ve been thinking about this question for a day, usually I put the first thing that comes into my head or something I find funny. But reading some of the answers, I felt lucky.
A long time ago, I told myself, “I might not have to walk 10 miles to get clean water (which is normal and not a problem for some) but the problems I have are mine, and I have to deal with them – we are all in our own bubble”.
Loneliness, financial difficulties due to addiction, family members passing, people trying to drive wedges between your own kids, being told your not good enough, are all challenging but what I realised most thinking about this question; is how resilient I am, you are, we all are. Awful soul, destroying things happen to us all but we keep on going somehow, I haven’t become cold-hearted or immune to it but I am proud in the knowledge that whatever it is I will get through it and I will bask in the glory of happy memories and fun moments I have along the way❤️!
