I have learned how to spin cat fur into yarn. 😁 I am sure I have surprised a few with that!
I had heard of people using their pet rabbit Fur for spinning yarn and thought that using cat Fur would be similar.. I only had a cat, but no rabbit and so I thought it would be an easy swap. At least I wanted to try and see how it turned out.
We usually buy hay bales, which come in a plastic net. I love to rescue, reuse, and repurpose materials into useful items, so I clean the net, separate the threads, and crochet various creations. I usually stop on the side of the road to rescue discarded nets from rural areas.
