I think something must be done to reintroduce criminals back into society. As much as they may deserve their sentence, society wants them to come out and make a positive difference. With an education, this may be possible. Otherwise they come out as they went in, only more bitter, because they feel they have to do the thing that got them arrested, AGAIN in order to make a living. Their choice, of course, but college education gives them better, safer options. In theory. Also, maybe it depends on their crime? It’s a can of worms! Lol
