I like, or, don’t mind it, but I tend to use my friends’ or family’s full name when I address them unless they prefer it are used to the shorter version!
Out of respect as well as,I may not know them that well.
People shortening my name tends to be a term of endearment, so I don’t mind at all.

I don’t mind. I’m an R&B/smooth jam vocalist and rapper, and my artist name starts with “Cat”, but the name I go by with my friends is a little longer.

They used to shorten it during my teens. Especially my peers. It seems grown ups are for it moderately.
