My granny when she a little girl growing up her mother tell her and when my granny grew up she keep in contact with her granny in Africa and the family, and my mother tell us all. My big sister in in contact with our family in Africa. But as for my father side of his family we are still tracking down his side of the family with no success. We only have clues here and there in Africa.
Im talking about back 400 year’s ago Slavery, the reason why i lot of people don’t know where their from or to even known their history. As known back 300 year on my Mum side of the family, my great great grandmother was nit a slave, the married a Scottish man a slave owner who gave her freedom. That in West Africa Ghana. But, on my Father side of the family they were slave owned by on of the biggest slave owners The Beckford in Jamaica 🇯🇲 that’s as far we know about my father, we couldn’t track his history back to Africa so we have no idea where in Africa his family is. But my Mum not a problem we known our family in Africa far as to my great great grandmother, my granny tell us our history of our family in Africa who was not slaves. That’s why i would call my book, “Remember Your History”.
