Not necessarily activities, hobbies, or going on trips we don’t like to do or participate in, but I’m guessing more along the lines of having bad or useless habits, wasting time or repetitively procrastinating, being sneaky or devious in some ways or others, or turning up (drinking) past your known limit.
It’s much easier for us to do many things we don’t like. It’s easy for us to be mislead by ourselves by our own ways of thinking as imperfect men. (When I say men, I mean women as well.)
Well, unfortunately, that’s because unnaturally naturally, we were born imperfect, right on into sin and death. Therefore, we either learn rather swiftly or were already born selfish, greedy, manipulative, and impatient in a sense. As infants, we’re pretty much catered to at every beckoning call because our every cry is answered. After only the first few months of living in this world, we quickly learn that we can get what we want if we just let out a cry. We’ll suck on a bottle until we feel that we can absolutely no longer fill our tummies.
Hence, the reasons why as we grow, we must be taught and learn to be patient and wait, to share, to eat portioned amounts of food, and taught and learn right from wrong amongst other things.
We automatically received our inheritance as soon as we are born that we cannot escape or get around in any manner; committing sins and our flesh and blood must physically decease on earth or be deceased by being left behind in its physical form as payment for our sins.
There are many different situations people grow through, and they’re all imperfect. We as humans can only do our best as we figure how to navigate life’s challenging journey that we don’t get a manual to; one where we must be moved to seek our divine purpose in our physical life as if searching for hidden treasure.
And children, time passes awfully slow to us because we’re always anxious for a certain time to come around, a certain event, or whatnot. We don’t really notice nor realize how short life really is until we look up one day and it’s 20 years later on top of 20 years grown.
We don’t necessarily do the things we’d like to do so as to be classified as good people, even though we have every intention to want to do good, because we’re easily tempted* in the flesh to please and satisfy our outer shell. It’s true! The flesh is weak.
Some people don’t allow their conscience to bother them and learn to bury all the good negative influential attributes so deep down that they become resistant to repentance, resistant to feeling sorrow, and resistant to regretting any of their bad actions. This is how the heart completely hardens.
It’s why it’s really important to have Almighty God first in our lives. He’s the only One that can provide us with the armour and protection we need that’ll help us resist temptations and help us build the strength we need to persevere down the straight and righteous path that leads us to live for eternity. Because after we leave this physical life, it isn’t the end for us. Which is why we should try our very best to be pleasing to Him now while we’re physically alive. Once He allows our soul to exit this earth, only marks the beginning of our path to eternal life or the path to Almighty God Jehovah’s eternal wrath of destruction. Either way, it’ll never end.
*(Derives from Eve being easily swayed by temptation in the garden of Eden by the serpent, but ultimately with Adam following, to begin with, Eve’s lead as the “head” that wasn’t created to maintain the role nor created positioned in the role of leadership that is to lead by way of example.Yet instead positioned to help sustain the lead and teach by example.)
I truly apologize for the extensive response, but Almighty God put it on my heart to express what I have written, and His will be done.
