Do you actually expect an honest answer when you ask someone how they are?

I never expect an honest answer because let’s face it even if something is wrong you’ll most likely get the answer “I’m fine”, “Nothing”, or “It’s fine”. But I’d prefer a honest answer because if I can be there or help I will.
