Before the Earth was created, there wasn’t really a “day” as we understand it, because a day is defined by the rotation of the Earth on its axis, creating the cycle of day and night. In the time before Earth, there wasn’t any planet to have that cycle.
If we look at the story of creation in the Bible, for example, it talks about “days” in the process of creation, but these days are more symbolic or represent stages in the creative process rather than literal 24-hour days.
In a more scientific sense, before Earth was formed, the concept of “day” would have been meaningless since there was no Earth or rotation around a star (the Sun) to define such a cycle. The “day” is really tied to the Earth’s position in space and its spin!
