If I feel like I may be having an anxiety attack, I just relax and just breath.

When my anxiety revs up I do something outdoors like a walk, riding my horse, hike or something like that. My anxiety flares up a lot here lately.

You need to relax and also believe on doing what you can, not trying to change what you cannot. Purpose to deep breathing Yoga before tackling that situation that brings anxiety to you. Finally do meditate.

I have anxiety/depression and have had several attacks where my legs disappear, and my teeth feel funny. Counseling and taking Effexor has helped me tremendously.

Do not understand whichever circumstances be over confident. Relax, take your cool and rely on deep breathing Yoga at those moments when you feel anxiety can arrive without a welcome.

Eating Xanax and listening to music is all that works for me

Deep breathing, yoga, mindfulness and being in a soothing environment (for instance, near to the lake or in nature is relaxing to me). Some people do need medication depending on their own situation, but there are lots of things someone can do on their own to lessen anxiety to some degree.

A better diet and proper exercise, stretching, breathing exercises were very helpful to me.
Practicing gratitude, and as strange as it is to explain, practicing feeling happier, made a huge difference too.

You can encourage them to do deep breathing techniques as long as it does not interfere with their daily life otherwise you will have to involve the professionals
