A few things come to mind, but one that really stands out is hype culture—especially around certain brands, celebrities, or trends. People will act like something is the greatest thing ever just because everyone else is saying it is, but half the time, it’s just meh.
For example:
- Designer brands – Some are nice, but a lot of people just buy them for the logo, not the quality.
- Celebrity relationships – Folks be acting like they’re personally invested in who’s dating who, but those people don’t even know they exist.
- Overpriced restaurants – Just because it’s expensive doesn’t mean it tastes better than your grandma’s cooking.
- “Perfect” social media lives – Most of it is fake, but people still chase after that image.

All the social media mess when I was growing up we barely had a home phone there was no cell phones no social media no craziness online like now I personally don’t have any accounts but like I said people like what they like

I think social media is a bit overrated. Everyone seems to love it, but it can be time-consuming and sometimes doesn’t offer the meaningful connections it’s supposed to. It can also cause unnecessary pressure and comparisons, especially among teenagers, which often leads to anxiety 😥

AI is something that I think is WAY overblown. People have stopped using their minds and rely on AI instead, which is a horrible mistake.

I think what is overrated is christmas because every one goes broke and max out credit cards and still be looking for deals like black friday online big sales very overrated to me.
