I think time isn’t linear as most people think it is. If youve ever seen that movie, Arrival, I have had experiences like the main female character which makes me believe that.

Time is a human construct created to measure change that we see (the sun setting and rising, seasons changing) so the change itself is real.

Time probably doesn’t flow as we perceive it. Some theories in physics suggest that all moments- past ,present , and future – exist simultaneously. What we experience as the passage of time may be an illusion created by our consciousness

Time is invention of man and therefore does not exist outside out paradox

I’m in my fourth life . I’d say forward

Time is normally something we measure with clocks: devices that record its passage from one moment to the next. While there is an interesting philosophical case to be made that time is an illusion, the fact that we can measure, quantify, and cannot stop its passage all strongly suggests that it truly exists.
Time moves forward and never goes backward, humanity begins at birth and end at death. Time is precious so make the most of it while we can.
“Time moves forward because things change and don’t usually go back to how they were. For example, ice melts into water, we grow older—not younger—and once you break an egg, you can’t put it back together. These changes follow a one-way direction called the ‘arrow of time.’ It’s like a river that flows forward, not backward.

Thank you so very much Queen!!!
These are the type of physics questions I love to study! I lean towards a belief that the passage of time might well be an illusion, a construct of human perception rather than a fundamental truth. Quantum mechanics hints at this, like with quantum entanglement, where particles seem to communicate instantaneously, defying our linear sense of time. Einstein showed time dilates with speed and gravity, meaning it’s not a universal constant but relative to the observer. If time flows differently depending on your frame of reference, is it truly flowing forward? Mind bending thoughts!

Is it possible that we create the passage of time ? Whether time passes, stands still, or is just an illusion…it’s not time that changes things, it is us who change things in time. It would be us creating the illusion. With every little thing we do in each moment documents a difference in something or memories to store for later. Maybe because we keep altering the world around us, time is just trying to help us keep track of what we have and haven’t done. Is time really passing us by..?..or do we just progress through life too quickly..? I guess I don’t really have a straight answer for any of it, but it’s interesting to think about. …but not for too long because there is no time to waste😉🍀

Well there’s daytime and nighttime but I think as far as passage of time I think it’s an illusion But then I grew up from a baby is that considered the passage of time or simply growth.

Time is just the measurements we use for moments.
Jill, touched on a really interesting concept – if we are moving forward into time, then time is either travelling towards us, meaning it moves backwards or time itself is static and we travel through it. Making us all time travellers, which is pretty cool.
I really like that concept how cool is that

This is a beautiful and profound question. According to the Bible, time is real for humans and moves forward under God’s control, with a clear beginning and end. From the perspective of physics, however, the flow of time might be an illusion.
Iwona time is def not an illusion thanks for sharing your comment
I agree with your answer. I am a Catholic. Time was created by God. There will always be debates about these subjects when it comes to religion and science. However, I think there will be some common ground about time.
Jacqueline and Myriam, I believe that time flows and has both a beginning and an end, established by God. In my response, I shared two different perspectives on how people perceive time, without making it clear that I personally align with the first one. However, I am open to debating the option that presents scientists’ belief that time is an illusion.
I believe it flows forward. Great question, Jacqueline!

Time is made up, Everything stands in the present. You cannot make up for lost time as the saying goes…Time is Energy..
