It looks like the “c” will be silent because it is pronounced similarly to “sent”. I was curious and read about it. What I found: “neither the ‘s’ nor the ‘c’ is fully silent in ‘scent.’ The ‘s’ and ‘c’ work together to make the /s/ sound, like in ‘sent’ or ‘cent.’ The ‘c’ is part of the spelling but doesn’t add a separate sound, it just helps form the ‘s’ sound.”
You are very welcome, Jacqueline.
I definitely think that the C remains silent. I have never heard anyone really pronouncing the C.

You got me on this one. I think the s is silent.
I’m not sure either you may be right idk thanks for sharing
You are welcome
I think it is the s which is silent I have no clue Because we say cement isn’t it.

Always happy to share. What do you think is the right answer to your question Jacqueline.
Quite challenging! Because ‘s’ is not immediately followed by a Vowel, thank I think S should remain silent.

I don’t, but you asked the question. Hahaha…
My view is the S comes first so it gets priority over the C. If you you’re just testing us please reveal the answer.. I haven’t slept for 2 days thinking about it.
PS, if I get it right, do I win a prize?

That is a really good question of which I have no clue lol and that is a prime example of why they say that the English language is the hardest to learn.
