No metal in my body, but in my last ankle surgery, the surgeon did use a hard plastic anchor/bolt.
Apparently they do now , at least in some cases. Mine isn’t bone issues it is tendon and ligaments that shredded that needed to be fixed, so It may be the difference in denseness of the material that the doctors are trying to keep together
Ouch❕ I didn’t realize docs used hard plastic.
